Coralie H. Gourdon is a documentary director and editor from French Polynesia. After earning degrees in literature, social anthropology, and filmmaking from the Paris Sorbonne University, she developed her skills by focusing on representation and actors through theater in her short film Towards the Sun in India. she was selected to participate in the 2021 Werner Herzog Accelerator in Lanzarote, where she directed her short documentary film Animal Planet under Herzog’s guidance. As a filmmaker, she endeavors to allow her subjects to express their own images, fantasies, and mental representations, exploring subjective approaches to reality and the grey areas between genres.
