BIOGRAPHY

Kevin Walker and Irene Zahariadis are a docufiction directing duo from New York  City and Athens, Greece, respectively. They are members of the filmmaking collective COSMIC  SALON.

 

Irene Zahariadis is a writer, filmmaker, and translator living in New York City. Born in Queens, New York, she moved to Nisyros, Greece at the age of two and began schooling in Athens a few years later. After studying Creative Writing at the University of Warwick in the UK, in 2018 Irene moved to Manhattan and began working as an editor at The US Sun. Her parents still reside to this day in Nikia, Nisyros. Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World is her first film.

 

Kevin Walker is a filmmaker from Baltimore, MD, now working out of New York City. He is a co-founder of the filmmaking collective and production company COSMIC SALON. His short film, Roundabout, co-directed with NYC filmmaker Jack Auen, is currently being distributed by Varicoloured HFA. His debut short film Marblehead, also co-directed with Jack Auen, was selected to screen in competition at the London Short Film Festival, the Vilnius International Short Film Festival, the Short Waves Festival (where it won the Jury Prize III and the Audience Award), and was one of a select few ‘Market Picks’ at Clermont-Ferrand. Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World is his third short film.
