Juraj Janiš graduated in filmmaking from De Montfort University in the UK and in photography from Salesian University in Opava, Czech Republic. He is an award-winning director of commercials, having been repeatedly awarded at national creative competitions, as well as the international Epica Awards, Art Director’s Club of Europe Awards, and The Golden Drum Awards, among others. His work has been featured on prestigious international platforms such as directorslibrary.com, shots.net, lbbonline.com, and adsoftheworld.com. Prior to directing adverts, Juraj gained experience as a camera operator, assistant director, and producer on numerous commercial and film productions.
“Gritty Eyes” is Juraj’s first step into directing longer format narrative films. He is currently developing the screenplay for his feature film debut, “The Rookie”.
