Dylan Pailes-Friedman is a filmmaker born and based in NYC. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pratt Institute in 2017 with a BFA in Film/Video. He came to film with a background in sculpture and drawing, which has informed the impressionist voice in his work. His films navigate themes of mental health, codependency, family, and resentment. They have screened domestically and internationally at Maryland Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Cork International Film Festival, and New Hampshire Film Festival among others. His shorts have premiered online at publications such as Omeletto, NoBudge, The Eyeslicer, and Boooooom. In 2022 he was a selected participant in the PlayLab Film Creators Lab hosted by director Apichatpong Weerasethakul in the Peruvian Amazon.
